My person's name is Dave. He used to take me to work everyday until he got laid off from his job as a video editor at an ad agency. Now we just travel. Some of the places I have visited include the Grand Canyon, Graceland, the Pacific Northwest, and Arches National Park in Utah. Now we are taking a trip from coast to coast across the United States!

You should start your road trip with breakfast at the Original Pancake House in Aliso Viejo.
From there make the long voyage up the I-5 til you get to the Irvine Spectrum where you can do some souvenir shopping and pick one of many great restaurants for lunch (ask a local for suggestions).
I believe there's a Double Tree Hotel nearby since you probably don't want to go much further on Day 1.
